L.A. native Tanya Alexis Notkoff is a multi-faceted 21st Century Artist who refuses to ignore the interconnections between all things, a philosophy which fuels her art, writing, design, and teaching. She is the editor of two young adult educational books, a published poet with an emphasis on ekphrastic writing, and an award-winning repurposed materials artist and fashion designer. Since relocating to the Denver area in 2013, Tanya’s success in her fashion has led to her invitational participation in three fashion shows and a five-month exhibition at the Lakewood Heritage Museum. Her successful re-emergence over the last six years she attributes to her escaping all the nay-sayers but most especially, to finding true Love, which has inspired her to return to her writing and teaching as well as to pursue her passion for making art from trash, in which she is completely self-taught. She is eager to continue her teaching on the subject of Mythos, originally the topic of her Master’s project in Teaching Writing, which she translated into a course taught at the Philosophical Library in Escondido, California in 2012. In 2014, Tanya became an Ordained Minister.
